Amazing Grass

Posted by

I’ve reviewed a number of products on Como Water, but I can tell you that I was thoroughly excited to receive free sample of Amazing Grass products and I’m equally excited to share this review with all of you. I first learned about Amazing Grass through my sister who makes a cacao Amazing Grass and banana shake each morning for her kids. I loved my sister’s shakes so much that I tried a number of different mix-ins myself during juices, smoothies, and super foods month (January 2012 posts) in my cashew-ginger peach and acai banana coconut smoothies.

When I received my box from Amazing Grass, I went to town! Sampling one new product each day. Hands down my favorite smoothie mix-in was the Raw Reserve Green Superfood powder. With over 25 billion probiotics per serving, I almost felt my digestive track thank me. I felt so good that I’ve actually started taking a probiotic daily and I love it. I also tried their Amazing Meal powders and Energy Bars. With 10g of protein and 6g of fiber, the meal powders were actual meal replacers (aka I didn’t feel compelled to eat an hour later) and my favorite was the Chai Vanilla (which I mixed with almond milk). My favorite energy bar was the Chocolate Whole Food Energy Bar (surprise, surprise, you can’t go wrong with chocolate!) Admittedly, Amazing Grass products are anything but cheap, but if you have the means and want solid organic products that taste really good and are good for your health, then definitely give them a try! 😀

  1. Yeah, I have tried one of this bar, its really good.

  2. I love their drink powders! They’re a great way to ad more nutrients to you smoothies. Love the company itself, but I do wish they had more protein in the meal replacers and less sugar in the bars.

  3. I have never tried such products but they sure seem worth the try, healthy and will be a booze to add nutrients to my system.

  4. So healthy and totally awesome products – thanks for introducing them 🙂

    Cheers

  5. Wow… grass powders for milkshakes!! What a great product! It certainly is better than trying to juice them yourself.

  6. These look good… so glad they’re gluten free!

  7. Sounds like I should keep a spare change jar for awhile! Would love to try the bars.

  8. Hmm–I’m going into rehearsal soon and will be eating lots of protein bars for dinner. Might have to check these out!

  9. Oh, haha! From your title, I thought you were talking about something else …. sorry, I’d gone into a different era for a moment.
Don’t think we have those here. But I’ve seen other brands of similar health stuff. Haven’t tempted me enough to try them yet.

  10. I honestly haven’t tried nor heard of Amazing Grass products! Thanks for sharing this, Tiff! I’ll be on the look out for them!

  11. Hey Tiffany,

I see wheat grass on sale at Mom’s Organic Market (are you familiar with this store?) in the produce section. I’m always tempted to buy the grass but then remember how easy it must be to grow from seed. I must try growing it myself (especially since I’ve grown many items in my garden from seed). The chocolate bars look amazing too! I’ll have to pick up a few on my next shopping trip to MOMS’s or Whole Foods.

  12. Thanks for the comments everyone! 😀
