Each Monday, Tiffany posts a message that provides positive energy and tips for eating more mindfully. The purpose of the weekly message is to reinforce the ideas from the talks and classes that are a part of the Como Water Membership, and to further support those living the veg-centric lifestyle. Be Still
Despite much practice towards the contrary, I am quite the ruminator. I think about thinking. I run scenarios every which way. I analyze, pick apart my analyses, and then analyze some more. Truth be told, this type of deliberative process has served me well in many instances. But in other instances, it can be down right overwhelming–especially when the result of all of this thinking isn’t more clarity!
Recently, I came across the quote below. In meditating on the quote, I realized that perhaps I tend to conflate deliberation with mindfulness. But sometimes, many times probably, mindfulness is about stilling the mind, not activating it. So, with that, I leave you with the quote that brought about this epiphany! Enjoy and have a great Monday!
We don’t have to go anywhere to obtain the truth. We only need to be still and things will reveal themselves in the clear water of our heart. ~Thich Nhat Hanh
